NEW LAUNCHER / ANTI-CHEAT SYSTEM
From now on, you can access the server only through the official EmberFaLL Launcher.
Running l2.exe directly (bypassing the launcher) is no longer allowed.
1. Launcher approval (login protection)
• Every time you press Start on the launcher, your IP is temporarily approved.
• Only approved IPs are allowed to log in.
• If you try to log in by running l2.exe directly without using the launcher first, you may get "Access Failed" on the login screen.
2. Client integrity check
The launcher checks important client files (for example):
• system/user.ini
• system/interface.xdat
• system/Interface.u
If any of these files are modified or corrupted:
• You will see a message about modified / invalid files.
• The game will NOT start.
This helps block custom interfaces, wallhacks and other client-side modifications on protected files.
3. What to do if you get an error
Modified / invalid files message
• Open the launcher and click Full Check / Repair.
• Let it finish and then press Start again.
"Access Failed" on login
• Close the game completely.
• Open the official EmberFaLL Launcher.
• Press Start and then try to log in again.
Important
• Do NOT use old shortcuts to l2.exe.
• Always start the game using the EmberFaLL Updater / Launcher.
• Any attempt to bypass the launcher can result in Access Failed or further action.
